I’m Mikael Lindeberg, a comic artist from North Karelia, Finland. I began my comic journey by drawing small, one-page comics on Instagram, and in 2019, I started my webcomic Mellow & Strange. Since then, I’ve self-published two other comics: Mr. Nanny, You’re Hired! #1 (2021) & #2 (2022), and Shrapnel Scars (2022). My ongoing webcomic The Butler Did It (2023–) is published by Filthy Figments.

I’ve also worked as an assistant (mainly lettering, coloring, and editorial work) for Victor Nordahl on his successful book series Ville Poter (publ. Egmont Kids Media AS) from 2022 onwards. This includes his three titles: Ville Poter: Revefarmen (2022), Ville Poter: Skogen (2023), and Ville Poter: Byen (2024).

I’ve also published a short comic, Freak, for the Let Her Be Evil -anthology (2024, edited by Cassandra Jones), which won the Broken Frontier Award. In 2025, I was part of Filthy Figments’s Transfixed anthology with my short comic The Lingonberry. I’ve made comics for charity zines as well.

As for illustrations, I’ve drawn personal commissions since 2019. Over the years, I’ve had the pleasure of working with over 100 different clients from around the world. Many of them are returning customers. I’ve also been part of Nova & Mali’s art book And They Were Monsters (2024) and A Hitchhiker's Guide to Art History! (2024). I’ve been told I’m fast, easy to work with, and a good communicator.

Both my creative and academic pursuits focus on death work in one way or another, whether through academic research into dying or a story about grieving.
